Efesus 5:5

5:5 For you can be confident of this one thing: ¹  that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy (such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Efesus 4:19-20

4:19 Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. ²  4:20 But you did not learn about Christ like this,

[5:5]  ¹ tn Grk “be knowing this.” See also 2 Pet 1:20 for a similar phrase: τοῦτο πρῶτον γινώσκοντες (touto prwton ginwskonte").

[4:19]  ² sn Greediness refers to an increasing desire for more and more. The point is that sinful passions and desires are never satisfied.
